Portable Cluster Used for Microsoft Training at Missile Range WSMR, New Mexico, April 13, 2008 — Microsoft utilized a Nor-Tech Portable Cluster at a recent High Performance Computing training at White Sands Missile Range New Mexico.
White Sands is the birth place of the US Missile program and first launch site. WSMR is 20 miles east of Las Cruces, NM. At almost 3,200 square miles the range is the largest military installation in the country.
