Nor-Tech High Performance Clusters with Intel Xeon Phi
The unbeatable performance of Nor-Tech clusters integrated with Intel Xeon Phi and backed by Nor-Tech’s industry-leading service across the globe.
Integrating Nor-Tech clusters with Intel® Xeon Phi™ processors eliminates node bottlenecks, simplifies code modernization, and builds on a power-efficient structure. The bootable Intel Xeon Phi x86_64 CPU host processor offers an integrated architecture for powerful, highly parallel performance that enables deeper insight, innovation, and impact for the most demanding HPC applications.
Supported by a comprehensive technology roadmap and robust ecosystem, the Intel Xeon Phi processor maximizes ROI by using open standards code that is flexible, portable, and reusable well into the future. With up to 72 cores, on-package memory, optional integrated Intel Omni-Path Architecture fabric, the processor delivers highly efficient performance per watt.
Certain highly parallel applications will benefit dramatically by using Intel Xeon Phi processors. To take full advantage of the processor, an application must scale well to over 100 software threads and either make extensive use of vectors or efficiently use more local memory bandwidth than is available on an Intel Xeon processor. Examples of segments with excellent applications include animation, energy, finance, life sciences, manufacturing, medical, public sector, weather, and more. The Intel Xeon Phi processor is a foundational element of the Intel Scalable System.
Intel® Xeon Phi™ Coprocessor 7200 Series
With up to 72 out-of-order cores, the Intel Xeon Phi processor delivers over 3 teraFLOPS (floating-point operations per second) of double-precision peak while providing 3.5 times higher performance per watt than the previous generation. As a bootable CPU with integrated architecture, the Intel Xeon Phi processor eliminates PCIe bottlenecks, includes on-package high-bandwidth memory, and available integrated Intel Omni-Path fabric architecture to deliver fast, low-latency performance.
Intel® Xeon Phi™ Coprocessor 7100 Series
Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors provide up to 61 cores, 244 threads, and 1.2 teraFLOPS of performance, and they come in a variety of configurations to address diverse hardware, software, workload, performance, and efficiency requirements. They also come in a variety of form factors, including a standard PCIe x 16 form factor (with active, passive, or no thermal solution), and a dense form factor that offers additional design flexibility. This family supports Intel Turbo Boost Technology 1.0, which increases core frequencies during peak workloads when thermal conditions allow. Passive and no thermal solution options enable powerful and innovative computing solutions.
