The 5th Gen Xeon processors have AI acceleration built into every core, so they can handle demanding AI workloads from start to finish before customers need to add separate accelerators. For example, they can handle up to 42% faster inference performance and less than 100 milliseconds of latency on large language models (LLMs) with less than 20 billion parameters. In general compute performance, these processors are 21% faster than the previous version of Xeon. They also allow 36% higher average performance per watt across a range of customer workloads.
