Nor-Tech just announced the availability of a cutting-edge Demo Cluster geared toward CAE/CFD/FEA applications.

MINNEAPOLIS (PRWEB) September 15, 2015

Nor-Tech (Northern Computer Technologies), the leading provider of high-performance, people friendly HPC for CAE solutions, just announced the availability of a cutting-edge Demo Cluster geared toward CAE/CFD/FEA applications.

The cluster is designed to demonstrate the benefits of transitioning CAE applications from workstations to high performance computer clusters. This is a no-cost, no-strings opportunity.

Nor-Tech President and CEO David Bollig said, “Our Demo Cluster is designed for organizations that ultimately need something beyond a workstation. Clients who have made the transition typically see significant improvement in run times; better resolution; better utilization of their engineering staff; and shorter time to market. It’s a great way for engineers to demonstrate return-on-investment for management.”

To take advantage of the Demo Cluster, the first step is to contact Nor-Tech for a discussion on needs and expectations. Then they will schedule the client into a queue. Nor-Tech will reconfigure the hardware and software environment for the client and then provide access to the Demo Cluster. The client will run the software under Nor-Tech’s supervision during the agreed upon timeframe, which could be hours or days. In circumstances where there is sensitive information involved, Nor-Tech will typically sign an NDA.

“Our Demo Cluster is an excellent resource for companies that may have recently hired someone with supercomputing skills, but they have nothing to run jobs on,” Bollig said. “However, it’s also a good way for people to see just how easy our HPCs are to use. If you can use a desktop, you can use one of our HPCs—this sets our solutions apart from competitors.”
